Guide To Job Intervies

You know, there are times when you get lucky – a job kind of comes to you and you don’t
have to do anything about it. But for the most part, you have got to work to get a job.
First you need the qualifications, and then you need to prepare to face your recruiter
when they call upon you. That’s what your job interview is all about.

Preparing for a job interview is pretty easy when you know what to do. First, you’ve got
to collect as much information about the company as you can, and then you have got to
find a way to put your best foot forward. It is the only way to get the recruiter to like you
enough from the first time around.

First impressions are not everything, but they sure go a darned long way to make a
difference. If you need a job, you’ve got to make sure that your first exposure is a total
killer. Anything short of this and they might not like enough to hire you.

Getting hired for a job is all about you proving to them that you have what it takes to do
the job and do it right. People forget this all the time and go for job interviews trying to
show off and stuff. Not a good idea.

You cannot be too showy at a job interview; rather than impress the judges – that’s the
recruiter – you might end up pissing them up. Show some balls, but mostly importantly,
be very clear about what you know. Sometimes what they want to see is that you are
honest.

Looks have a way of determining what the outcome of your job interview might be. You
can’t walk in dressed in slacks and a sweatshirt – the recruiter will find it hard to take you
serious. Be corporate, even for small jobs. That’s the trick to it.

It is important to know something about the job you are applying for before you apply for
it. I’m not talking about your qualifications, no. I’m more into your overall knowledge of
the company. When they throw questions at you, they like to hear that you know a thing
or two about them.
